On some of my patterns there is a need for specific letters or names. Below are the pattern requirements for the letters of the alphabet to assist you in choosing the names or letters you want to use for your specific cloth.
On my Wedding Cloth in particular, the letters are 5 stitches wide and will hold a name of up to 5 letters long, so all these letters are designed to accomodate that pattern.
You can make adjustments for longer names by increasing the size of the cloth or changing the layout of the letters.

Thank you for the Alphabet pattern! I have been wanting to do this. I wanted to make washcloths for my grandchildren for Christmas. I have 14, with #15 due in January 2010. I love to knit with the raised designs on them.

Thanks for the lovely alphabet pattern. I am so glad I found one, thanks. This will be fun to do as facecloths for my 4 grandchildren. I will do them in all different colours so they can be hung up on their wall to learn the alphabet. This is so great, thanks again. If I have any I will be sure to post. thanks for the alphabet do you have numbers to and i knit lefthanded starting with cast on inlefthand then i knit right to left how would the letters come or numbers email me please and also to let me know if you have numbers 0thru 10 etc. please email me thanks
