Hi,

Thank you for visiting my pattern blog. Any and all of my patterns are free and you are welcome to knit them up and sell your finished products if you want to. If you mention the pattern all I ask is that you link the pattern back to this blog so others can visit and find patterns to knit too.

I have had many comments regarding needle sizes used for my patterns. Unless I specify, feel free to use any size needle you are comfortable with. A picture pattern may show up better with a smaller needle if you are a loose knitter. I am a loose knitter so I tend to us a US 3 or US 4 sized needle. But there is no gauge with a dishcloth and most cloths will use no more that a ball of cotton yarn regardless of needle size. Also the size of the dishcloth will vary depending on your knitting style and needle size. Also blocking your cloth may also help the picture or words to stand out better.

I am also willing to take requests for dishcloth pattern ideas. I am always learning and I am willing to try anything at least once. Feel free to email me at gimpykatk@aol.com. I sometimes get a lot of requests so if I don't respond to you please contact me again, I just get lost with the "busy"ness of life sometimes.

My picture taking abilities are not always the best so if you make one of my patterns and get a better picture, I'd love to see it and maybe use it as the example photo.

Stitches used:
CO= Cast On
BO= Bind Off
K= Knit
P= Purl
YO= Yarn Over
K2TOG= Knit 2 stitches together at the same time
SKPO= slip 1 stitch purl wise, K 1 stitch, pass slipped stitch over knitted stitch
S2KPO= slip 2 stitches together purl wise, K 1 stitch and pass the two slipped stitches over the knit stitch



(K1, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO) in the same stitch, (you K1 but don't pull the stitch off the needle yet, then wrap the yarn around the right needle, go back into the same stitch on the left needle and K1 again, YO and then K1 in that same stitch one more time.) Doing this will create 5 stitches out of the one stitch. This is similar to the beginning of a bobble stitch only instead of decreasing them down right away to make a bobble you leave the extra stitches on the needle and decrease over the following rows as directed

Note the # in ( ) at the end of each row indicates the number of stitches that should be on your needle at the end of that row. This varies throughout the pattern so do a quick count at the end of each row to make sure you are good.

Needle size is based on your preference there is no gauge for this dishcloth
Should take a ball or less of cotton yarn, any color including variagated should work well.

Actual finished size will vary based on how you knit and needle size used. Sample photo was knitted with size 4 needles and is appx 9 1/4".
