***Important Information***

Hi,

Thank you for visiting my pattern blog. Any and all of my patterns are free and you are welcome to knit them up and sell your finished products if you want to. If you mention the pattern all I ask is that you link the pattern back to this blog so others can visit and find patterns to knit too.

I have had many comments regarding needle sizes used for my patterns. Unless I specify, feel free to use any size needle you are comfortable with. A picture pattern may show up better with a smaller needle if you are a loose knitter. I am a loose knitter so I tend to us a US 3 or US 4 sized needle. But there is no gauge with a dishcloth and most cloths will use no more that a ball of cotton yarn regardless of needle size. Also the size of the dishcloth will vary depending on your knitting style and needle size. Also blocking your cloth may also help the picture or words to stand out better.

I am also willing to take requests for dishcloth pattern ideas. I am always learning and I am willing to try anything at least once. Feel free to email me at gimpykatk@aol.com. Please put pattern request in subject line so I can read it right away. And please remember to leave a way for me to contact you if I am able to create your request.

I sometimes get a lot of requests so if I don't respond to you please contact me again, I just get lost with the "busy"ness of life sometimes.

My picture taking abilities are not always the best so if you make one of my patterns and get a better picture, I'd love to see it and maybe use it as the example photo.

If you are not a knitter and would rather have a finished knitted cloth of any of these patterns I am also glad to knit them up for you. Contact me for prices and shipping, as they may vary depending on the number of cloths ordered.

Thank you for visiting my blog and looking at my first sets of original patterns.

Shell We Knit

Shell We Knit

© Kathleen Brundige

Supplies:
Any color or type of cotton you like (2oz)
Needle size your choice (sample knitted with a US3)
Finished size appx 9x9

Here is a breakdown on the special stitches you will find in this pattern.

P2tog= purl 2 stitches together at the same time

YO= yarn over (wrap yarn around needle one time before completing the next stitch)

KW3= knit one, wrap yarn around needle three times then continue on to next stitch

PD3= purl one then drop off the 3 wrapped around stitches and continue on to next stitch

S2KPO= slip 2 stitches purl wise onto opposite needle, knit one, then pass the 2 slipped stitches over the knitted stitch

S3K2PO= slip 3 stitches purl wise onto opposite needle, knit 2 stitches together at same time, pass the 3 slipped stitches over the kitted stitch

also note when you see instructions inside ( ) with a X and a # after, you are to repeat the instructions inside the ( ) the number of times indicated this # includes all repeats including the initial one… so if it says (K1, P1)x12 you would do that stitch pattern 12 times before moving on to the next section of instructions. If there is no # after something in ( ) then it's just done that one time.
